Yoga

Yoga is a combination of strength, balance, and flexibility. The poses and beliefs of yoga offer many benefits. Most people concentrate on the poses, which is just fine, because without knowing it, they are creating a healthier mind in addition to a healthy body. Yoga improves all systems of the human body, especially circulatory, endocrine, muscular-skeletal, nervous, and respiratory. Inversions (poses where the heart is above the head) help stimulate the thyroid gland. This will regulate a person's metabolism and boost the immune system. Doing twists help massage organs for better digestion. Above all, people feel very good after they do yoga, and that makes them happy. Happy people help others become more happy, and the world is a nicer place. Namaste.

My name is Wendy Szeto. My whole life, I have enjoyed sports as well as stretching and conditioning. I started practicing yoga in August, 2006. I quickly fell in love with it and knew I wanted to teach it. As soon as I knew this, I started to do private lessons with friends and family. I have experience in a mixture of different styles taught by my main yoga instructor. I am certified in Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga. However, I am open to all styles. I enjoy teaching yoga individuals as a way to help them feel better both mentally and physically. Also, by teaching, it betters my own practice. Through my teachings, I hope to make people feel happier and healthier. I enjoy making people laugh and smile. I would be honored to share my knowledge and skills with your community.
